Graduate profile

At the end of the program, you will have the necessary tools to study a Ph.D in applied economics (or related), and to enter the labor market.

 

Those who continue with a Ph.D after the Master in Applied Economics will have the advantage of having solid theoretical and quantitative tools, excellent information analytical skills and a deep knowledge of the economic system, which will allow them to propose relevant and original hypotheses for their research.

 

If at the end of the Master's degree they decide to continue with their professional careers, they will have cutting-edge tools that will make them highly competitive in the labor market when preparing and analyzing economic policies proposals. Our graduates will be prepared to work in the public sector, private sector, academia or in international organizations.

 

Our graduates will skillfully handle statistical packages such as STATA, and how to program in R and Python. They will be able to work with any source of statistical information, be it aggregate or microdata. Furthermore, they will have Data Science tools to work with unordered information.
